AXON designs and manufactures the container enclosure within which a diesel or gas engine generating set is installed. AXON is not a generating set manufacturer: the engine and alternator are either selected by AXON from independent suppliers as part of the project scope, or supplied directly by the customer — shipped to AXON for containerisation and integration with the systems described in this reference.
Containers are built as a purpose-built structural steel enclosure — rectangular hollow section frame, corrugated steel cladding, a bunded floor for fluid containment — or, on projects that call for it, a
converted ISO shipping container. Acoustic performance is achieved with absorptive lining behind the internal cladding and attenuated ventilation openings, engineered against a stated
dB(A) target at a defined distance rather than to a generic ‘sound-attenuated’ label.
